What We Believe

This Page outlines what we believe about God, His Word, Christian Life, and Our Eternal Hope.

The Word of God

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments were written by men who were carried along and verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible in its entirety is the Word of God, breathed out by Him. It is perfect, inerrant, and infallible in its original manuscripts. Through His providence, God has preserved His Word throughout the centuries so that it remains trustworthy, true, and the final authority for all matters of faith, life, and godliness.

The Trinity

God is one in being and three in persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in role and relation. The Trinity is not a philosophical concept but the living God revealed in Scripture and active in redemption.

God the Father

we Believe in God the Father who is the source and planner of all things. He elects a people for salvation, sends the Son to redeem them, and sends the Spirit to regenerate them. He adopts believers into His family, giving them a new identity as children of God.

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ who has existed eternally as Son of God. In His incarnation, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performing miracles and teaching with authority. We believe in his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, continued intercession for His people and HIs coming personal visible return to earth.

God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who was sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide, and is still active today in giving of spiritual gifts to believers as a blessing to the church and a witness to the Lost about the power of God.

Mankind

Humanity stands distinct among  God’s creation, being  made in the image of God, meaning that we bear the mark of God’s spiritual, moral, relational, and rational characteristics. We were created to dwell in fellowship with God and with one another, living in peace as we glorify Him through the raising of families, the filling of the earth, and the faithful exercise of dominion over His creation, taking part in His creative work and exercising dominion under His ultimate rule. Every human shares equally in this divine image, yet each person is uniquely fashioned with particular physical and cognitive traits—strengths, weaknesses, personalities, talents, passions, and skills—designed to flourish when directed toward our original purpose: to love God and to love one another.

Sin

Sin is any failure to follow to the moral law of God in thought, word, or deed. At its core, sin is treason against God, and its penalty is death. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were disobedient to God with and as a result, every aspect of their human nature became sinful and corrupted, Thus, becoming spiritually dead and subject to physical death. because of sin, The image of God is now distorted in all humanity, and every person has a sinful nature from conception.

Sin renders us guilty before God and alienated from Him.

Because sin cannot dwell in God’s presence, we stand by nature under condemnation and are unable to justify ourselves.

Salvation

Salvation is available by grace through faith. This salvation is not our own doing. It is the gift of God.

Salvation includes being declared righteous by God [justification], being transformed into the likeness of Christ [sanctification], and being fully restored to the image of God [glorification]. This Salvation which includes our new birth and eternal inheritance is kept by God’s power. It is therefore impossible for the saved to lose their salvation.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, which is also called the body of Christ. it is made up of all those who truly confess Jesus to be Lord and believe that He was raised from the dead.

We believe in the local church, consisting of a community of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, joined in covenant membership, and associated for worship, ministry and fellowship. We believe that the mission of the church is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ into our lost world.

Marriage and Sexuality

In the beginning, when God created mankind, He made humans male and female; equal in value and dignity, yet distinct in design and role. God’s perfect and sovereign creation of each person affirms that sex and gender are one and the same, and determined by His good design. He created humanity to live according to how they were made, reflecting His wisdom and order in all of life.

God instituted marriage as a covenantal, sexual, procreative, and lifelong union between one man and one woman, joined together as husband and wife. This sacred union is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and His bride, the Church. Therefore, any homosexual, polygamous, or polyamorous relationship stands outside God’s good design and does not bring Him honouror  lead to human flourishing.

Last Things

At a time known only to God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ will return bodily and in glory to consummate his Kingdom on earth, receive His own, and Judge the living and the dead

Those who have not believed and surrendered to Jesus will be cast into the lake of fire to suffer eternal conscious punishment. this is also called hell. those of all ages who have surrendered to Jesus as lord will be with the Lord for eternity in glory.
